2:01 I have just had a profound intellectual realisation: consiousness is reduciable to information! Everything is reducible to information, up until now I thought that consiousness was an exception, but now I dont Think so! I Think that consiousness is just a very Weird type of information! You Can have information without consiousness, without subjektive expirience, obviously, but you cannot have consiousness without information! I mean, Think about it, all human qualia requires information form the mind, and even what I thought of was “pure-consiousness”, where you expirience nothing except your own existence and expierience, still contains the information that it ei t’s and that its expirience IS, That its expiriencencing, heck in my old model I even had that piece of information be the 1 piece of information the pure-consiousness gave to our mind, without making this realisation! All consiousness is reducible to information, by tnot all information is reducible to consiousness, therefore consiousness is just a type of information, albeit a Weird one that dossent behave like other types of information and May be kinda useless! Maybe consiousness actually IS An emergent property of minds, and actually biologically evolved along with minds and wareness of soroundings! If consiousness is reducible to the mind, and the mind is reducible to the brain, then maybe the hard.problem of consiousness has finally been solved/dismissed, and has been revealed to be merely a combination of the easy-problems!

In my opinion, we are not even close to creating artificial consciousness. It most likely involves new physics or new applications of existing physics. A computer can be reduced to a state machine that goes through a series of states over time. Each state is composed of a pattern of switches and electrical activity moving through the pattern. There is no reason to think that more and more complex patterns of changing switches and electrical activity through the circuits will all of a sudden become self aware. Imagine a computer where states are defined with blocks instead of switches and the computer goes through a series of block configurations over time. There is no reason to think that certain changing block configurations would all of a sudden have subjective experience. It could be that the brain acts as an interface that generates and shapes "mind" (consciousness) perhaps in some type of field or in space-time geometry, etc. The interface may depend on highly specialized molecular complexes within neurons

My first reaction to the colour red is: ALIVE. Vivid, vibrant, alive!
Colours is interesting because I had a colour blind boyfriend and he definitely had a different experience of red and green. He learned that this was what people called red, and this green, and he'd guess which one it was.His favourite colours, when asked, were blue and yellow, out of blue, yellow and brown. He could not see orange or purple either because they contain red and green. I made the mistake of buying him a red on green, sports car beach towel. Obviously it wasn't a hit.
The idea that we are NOT the same person across time, makes expired relationships a lot more bearable and natural.
