What is postmodern art? In depth explanation. Destruction of systems of meaning

I explain postmodern art. Complete understandanding.

The shakespearian verse I cited was completely wrong as I notice. Well I hope you get what I am talking about nontheless. Here you find the complete play “Romeo and Juliet” for enjoying the language and the rest of the play: http://learningstorm.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/RMEOJLET-1.pdf

The technical term Schiller uses is not as I roughly translated from german “the superior” it was translated as “the sublime”. And it is not as I stated in “The Theatre Considered as a Moral Institution”. This was just the name given to the compendium of theoretical Schiller writings which I read there. So here are the three texts which all three are something the playwright or script writer should really have read in my opinion. It is really absolutely good stuff. German playwright Schiller explains how you best create theater(english version):

Theater Considered as A Moral Institution : https://archive.schillerinstitute.com/transl/schil_theatremoral.html

On the pathetic: http://wlym.com/archive/oakland/docs/SchillerOnThePathetic.pdf

On the sublime: https://archive.schillerinstitute.com/transl/trans_on_sublime.html

In its original german language the texts are :

Die Schaubühne als eine moralische Anstalt betrachtet https://gutenberg.spiegel.de/buch/die-schaubuhne-als-eine-moralische-anstalt-betrachtet-3328/1

Über das Pathetische: https://gutenberg.spiegel.de/buch/ueber-das-pathetische-3311/1

Über das Erhabene: https://gutenberg.spiegel.de/buch/ueber-das-erhabene-3301/1

Lets watch such a postmodern theatrical play which combines the things “meaninglessly”. From beginning to minute 8:10 there is an interview that shows scenes from a theater that is just exactly as I described it. All fixed definitions of the systems of meaning are dropped and the theater becomes a poem made from stuff like now “meaningless” words, movements, gestures, arrangements, Sentences, intonations to have a really “free” theatrical language: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is_xG1cnz8U&t=484s

Kurt Grüber’s piece “Winterreise” 1979. Reciting german writer Hölderlin against the backdrop of the Olympic Stadium of Berlin. Nearly no meaning in the classic sense. Extremely famous postmodern theater. Must see for people who really want to understand modern movie and theater. Classic meaning is dropped and things like performance and spacial play are used for createing meaning in the postmodern way(activate subtitels but prepare that the words stay “not important” and seemingly “meaningless”): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moD9Jk_Fv8s&t=2330s

This should be an exerpt from a remake of the Opera “Einstein on the Beach (1975)” by Philip Glass and Robert Wilson. Robert Wilson is a really big name in using theater in the way I described it in the video. Things like movements, sound or setdesign have no “meaning” but are put together as an audiovisual poetry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAxeoEoZmzE

From the same year as the original “Einstein on the Beach” theatrical piece we have this performance: “Art must be Beautiful; Artist must be Beautiful (1875)” by very famous Marina Abramović. Throughout the whole performance she only repeats these two lines that make up the title while she combs herself. It is feminist statement for women in art but also draws on the idea that this repetitive rather non story-based action is valid “theater”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kXnrVDxtyc

In this talk I explain the aspects of a postmodern film. What is a movie today. What does this wording mean for our theater.
