On the border between France and Switzerland is the biggest science experiment humanity has ever built. Over a 100 meters underground, there’s a tunnel 27 kilometers long in a big loop under nearby homes, businesses, and farms. Inside that tunnel, scientists built a blue tube big enough to crawl through, and inside that tube, they put two pipes that they keep colder and emptier than outer space. Down those pipes, they fire particles smaller than atoms in opposite directions…. and push them faster and faster… until when they’re almost at the speed of light… they SMASH TOGETHER.
This underground particle-smasher is also known as the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. It took thousands of scientists from over nearly 100 different countries $5 billion dollars and 30 years to plan and build.
My question is: Why? Why did they do that??? Why spend so much money and time to smash particles underground? And now… why do so many scientists say what we really need to do is build… a BIGGER one?
To answer those questions, we’re going on a journey all the way to Switzerland, to the particle smasher itself! And you’re never going to see yourself or the world around you the same way…

One of the most controversiql authors Dan Brown, has topics particle smasher, antimatter, and CERN itself ( don't know how he was able to write on them in such a book) in his book angels and demons, whose subject is the endless war between obvious science and miraculous religion. I didn't know that someone could mention an existing organization in a fictionql book like that..
Not only monuments of knowledge, but also hopefully beutiful feats of engineering

I still think we should be pushing teslas research before we think about nuclear but completely understand the research needs for all of humanity that cern is doing.. my single question on this topic is… how do we know or not know that these guys are messing with time? I’m very open to this discussion and I think it needs to be had

Could they technically just scale it up and up until eventually they make something big enough that a human could fit in it move at near the speed of light? I guess the problem would be generating the energy needed to accelerate something that big that fast without damaging everything around it.

I'm not even gonna try to understand the universe. I have a hard enough time getting along in the world that I DO half understand. The scale of our existence may work in both directions- bigger and smaller. The universe we are in could be a molecule of of another existence, etc.,etc.,etc. to infinity. Millions of years in our time may be one second of time in a much bigger existence. There may be civilizations in our own bodies that are farther advanced than the human race that are host to the same many times over. I think the average person pondering such thoughts would probably be considered insane. But you can go to school, be taught such things, and have billions of dollars furnished to explore the possibilities. I'm SO confused😢
My Questions is what if really happen to human if we be in the middle of CERN during it's particles collision…could it be possible opening a wombholes or be in other dimensions instantly..n was it's CERN a part of proof that we as Human is were actually is sort of Quantum meta particles in this universe….ur explanations will highly regarded n ease my curiosity on this….
