But why is any artwork priced so much higher than say a music album or ep, especially when considering that the music usually involves far more hours of work and for several tracks?

I swear, there's so many artists that are still alive and are extremely talented, they can make something you could find in the Renaissance, or very creative pieces that people can still notice the time and effort just by looking at it. On top of that, some of these artists with these talents are doing commission for 10 to 30 USD.

Did anyone wondered why all these rich guys that buy modern crap for millions are allwise anonymous? because is so much easier to get "art" abroad instead of bags of money…you put that canvas in the back of a truck, register it's true value at the customs…25 $ (and because it looks like a piece of crap nobody raises an eyebrow)…and sell it again thought the same auction house to the next "art lover" that suddenly felt in love with a dirty canvas.
