I like your scenarios, but with this one you made a huge mistake: AI won't destroy the economy of the US. The goverment couldn't let that happen and there wouldn't be any reason for that. After all the US companies will make a lot of money… The poverty would spread all over the world, but not in the US. There will surly be an UBI in the US. But it's only to manifest the installed powerstructures, not for wellfare or the greater good. It is important to point this out, so that people won't be silenced by an unfair matter.

Its been 8 months, companies are now scrambling to hire back human workers because
AI is just too expensive to be worth replacing humans for.
Companies are also ditching the AI they implemented.
The bubble is starting to burst.
Productivity, aka milking cow. Welcome to inhumanity. I have never felt I was part of it.
I've told my son not to worry about losing his job to AIG and AI and robots. He is a college grad. I told him how to protect himself in the next 50 years or so.
But one thing is missing in the video and in all scenarios: Who will buy the goods created by the companies, that replace the workers with AI? AI will not be paid for the job. The money goes to the AI company. And how many new cars do the AI companies buy a year? How many houses do they need? In the end the economy will collaps and all the millions, billions or trillions, the oligargs have, will be useless. Also as soon as noone will pay taxes, the countries will collaps and countries will cease to exist. And examples like Venezuela or Kongo only work, because there are humans in other parts of the world, that buy the oil or minerals. As soon as the consumer is taken out of the equation, the whole house of cards collapses. If all workers are replaced by AI and there is no consumer market left, the whole bubble will burst within a short amount of time and the economy will be gone in very short time.
Just imagine in 2028 how Trump has weaponized AI to manipulate the election
Yes, except none of this actually happening. Real growth of profit do not happen. Companies that are cutting staff are doing it because their business in bad shape, it is usual layoffs, which are hidden behind AI bullshit.
Ask Antropic how many people did they layoff because of the AI improvements
This scenario is only possible if AI can do all jobs, and once it can do that we will have other issues than the job market.
Otherwise the market will absorb workforce, you always find a equilibrium, specially when productivity goes up.
