Your Consciousness Is Older Than the Universe — Here’s the Evidence

Beyond Reality

What if you’ve been looking for your place in the universe… without realizing the universe is appearing within you?

Most of us grow up believing we are small, temporary beings moving through a vast and indifferent cosmos. A fragile consciousness born late in the story of a universe that existed long before us and will continue long after we’re gone.

But what if that assumption is backwards?

In this video, we explore one of the most profound ideas in consciousness studies and introspective philosophy: that awareness is not something produced by reality—it may be the very foundation of reality itself. Through the lens of non-duality, analytic idealism, quantum reality, and the metaphysics of reality, we’ll examine a radical possibility: that space, time, matter, and even the universe itself exist within consciousness, not the other way around.

You’ll discover:

Why some philosophers and scientists believe consciousness is fundamental rather than emergent
How quantum reality challenges the idea of a purely objective world
What non-duality reveals about the illusion of separation between self and cosmos
Why the inner self may be far larger than the identity you normally experience
How self-awareness transforms our understanding of existence, mortality, and meaning
Why ancient mysticism and modern theories of universal consciousness may be pointing toward the same truth

This isn’t a journey into belief. It’s an invitation to question one of the deepest assumptions ever made: that you are a small observer living inside a giant universe.

Because if reality unfolds within awareness, then you are not a bystander in existence.

You are the space in which existence appears.

  1. The Standard Model is incomplete. Higgs boson (the god particle responsible for an objects mass) is accompanied by three other wave/ particles, the compaction boson accounts for dark matter (accumulating gravitic forces) and the expansion boson accounting for dark energy (percolating pockets of potential particles) that leaves something to observe it all… the observer boson accounts for the least action applied for conscious observation. Our construction/ observation of the standard model makes the standard model self aware… the universe is the observer observing it's self through our eyes. We can easily fit all the religious dogmas, hypnosis, ponzi schemes, conspiracy theories in to a common frame of reference. It's not you there watching that is the consciousness boson, there is only one and we all share it…. whether you believe it or not. It is non- exclusive standard model equipment that defines sentience.

  2. I'm good instinctively with these ideas. Except, I disagree with the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum mechanics. I've seen good evidence to disprove this idea. What fits like a glove is Everettian Physics. People get upset with all the quantum realities wondering where they are. They are in the same place you are, except that this space is more complicated such that it is better to call it Hilbert space. Because you can't interact with all those realities, you can't see them. But every time a true quantum "random" event happens, both results happen, and since you are composed of the same particles that can exist in more than one place at the same time, there are 2 versions of you experiencing pretty much every possible lifetime event, including being born as the opposite gender.

  3. I read the disclaimer. Citation of "negativity" in those who are taking issue with something is not a worthy approach. I believe what you do is hard work and time consuming. But there's no salient line at where this "tool" will stop. Without that line we'll evolve along with it – if not you, those who come after you, who receive from you the standard of what is and isn't crossing the line. In processing novel ideas, it can be surprising what elements of the work lead to epistemic and cognitive breakthroughs- what mundane and tedious work. It can also be surprising how easily erroneous information slips in, even without AI. Perhaps the your critics have been too curt, and perhaps some don't even understand half the problem with what they've come to dislike. That doesn't mean that their intuitions aren't onto something.

Also, I doubt very seriously your accent or voice would detract from the experience, unless you're trying to speak English with very poor English skills. So many content creators are far more knowledgeable than myself, yet so many seem to make this error with regards to why people tune in. We want real, and smart, people. The revolution was about this new thing – not the polished and perfect TV product whose content never touched on what small segments of the population were interested in.

  4. Son of man. Great job. You are indeed and in knowledge JOhN personally acting vicariously for all of US with your teaching through my learning. Thank you for the disclaimer, MY a.i. will like that.

  5. 1st false assumption in your good video is that quantum collapse requires conscious minds. Not true. All that is required us the recording of information of the event. This recording need to be from a conscious observer. Heres some proof. A stray bullet god forbid hits you in the back of the head. No one is aware including you that it hit you. You're instantly rendered unconscious. No record by a conscious entity if the event. But the information is encoded in the impact. The wave function does collapse. But you're on to the right track. I think consciousness is a field. Our brains tap into this field as a disturbance just as a photon is a disturbance in the photoelectric field. No matter where you go in the universe your consciousness goes with you and is all that exists. No such thing as death as without awareness it cannot exist. Each of us are reborn an infinite number of time provided time is infinite… the universe is infinite. The gaps between our conscious episodes are without awareness so they do not exist for us. Only consciousness exists.

  6. Im 64 and I have asked this ? since I was 7. Whatever God, or Infinite intelligence is, where did it come from? What created what created God? How far out does the observable Universe go ? Well, if it is a Cosmic wall past it, what the hell is past that wall. Experts just say it is Infinite. What the hell is outside of Infinite geniuses? They have No answer. What is outside of what's outside of Infinite? Where did it All start? What was in existence before that?No Experts have Ever even thought about that. Is anything actually real ? Seriously, where does it stop, and what is past that

  7. My beliefs are based on my education in science. What I gleaned from courses in Astrophysics, quantum physics was that at the most basic level matter was made up of energy and information. Solidity was merely a function of the basic nuclear forces : the strong, the weak, magnetic, and gravitational forces (Gravity is not really a force; it’s the structure of space modified by mass, according to Einstein).

Energy and information to me sounds like thought and/or consciousness. So, I started to wonder whether existence was a manifestation of consciousness and thought. That the moment-to-moment existence of everything was merely the thoughts of a nearly infinitely powerful intellect.

I speculated that, at some time in the distant past, that the universe or God became self aware and discovered that he, she, it was alone. This would make such a being lonely and infinitely bored. (I realize that this is the anthropomorphizing this being). Whenever I was alone and bored, as an insomniac child, I would invent a whole “universe” filled with persons and situations from my imagination to keep me “company” during the long nights.

Could existence be the nearly infinite sophisticated imagination of God to keep himself company and “entertained”? Now to be entertained, there would need to be nearly infinite possibilities as to the things that could or might happen. If a being knew what was going to happen next, he would not be entertained or interested. In effect this being set up rules such as the laws of physics and sat back to watch the “game” unfold.
This is what I believe. We exist as the manifestation of the moment-to-moment thought of a nearly infinite being designed to keep himself, herself, itself company and entertained. And we tune into this consciousness like a radio tunes into programs sent through radio waves.

  8. I suspect that the Universe has no beginning nor end but cycles through "big bangs". There are only so many electrons, protons, etc… only so many cubic light years, a finite number of unique seconds, and a finite number of possible quantum states, i.e. possibilities. The Universe transverses all possible states over time.

  9. My parents took me to church since I was a baby and remained in the church until my early 20's when I knew that there was much more to life. While sitting on top of a mountain ridge a complete thought came to from beginning to end in less than a second as if I already knew it before this lifetime. Then I realized that I have always known. We are not what we see in the mirror, that is our human shell and we are living a human experience. Now it is many years later and I discovered that I'm an empath, something that defies an explanation of how it works. As knowledge increases so does the fact that there's a multitude more that we don't know.

  11. I take no pleasure in saying this, however all of the 'Magical' and 'Sense of Wonder' aspects of the famous Double-Slit experiment, have been Debunked. The particle beam does not 'choose' its path on observation, (alas) 'the incoming particle simply undergoes a violent physical collision with the detector's light, which breaks its delicate wave structure and physically forces it into a single, predictable path'. Bummer I know… 😕
