The sciences are pointing toward a new sense of a living world. The cosmos is like a developing organism, and so is our planet, Gaia. The laws of Nature may be more like habits. Partly as a result of the ‘hard problem’ of finding space for human consciousness in the materialist worldview, there is a renewed interest in panpsychist philosophies, according to which some form of mind, experience or consciousness is associated with all self-organizing systems, including atoms, molecules and plants. Maybe the sun is conscious, and so are other stars, and entire galaxies. If so, what about the mind of the universe as a whole? Rupert Sheldrake will explore some of the implications of this idea.
Rupert Sheldrake is a biologist and author of more than 85 scientific papers, and was named among the top 100 Global Thought Leaders for 2013. He studied natural sciences at Cambridge University, where he was a Scholar of Clare College, took a double first class honours degree and was awarded the University Botany Prize in 1963. Dr Sheldrake then studied philosophy and the history of science at Harvard before returning to Cambridge, where he took a Ph.D. in biochemistry in 1967.
He is the author of 13 books, and in 2012 he published ‘The Science Delusion’. This book examines the ten dogmas of modern science, and shows how they can be turned into questions that open up new vistas of scientific possibility. It received the Book of the Year Award from the British Scientific and Medical Network. His most recent book: ‘Ways To Go Beyond, And Why They Work’ was published in 2019, and looks at seven spiritual practices that are personally transformative and have scientifically measurable effects. Educated people, unless they actually deviate from indoctrination are shockingly stupid to be around. To think that we can actually understand this vast universal intelligence by slicing and dicing and studying death and chemicals is frankly- killing us. I feel very sorry for people who are stuck in their heads and have not had an actual transcendent experience. Evolution will happen with or without you. Am I breathing myself? or beating my own heart? It is a total joy to interface with the body in a way that I can feel it healing itself , just be being seen, I'll take magic, thanks. I'm not arrogant to think that "I" can fix someone. Loving current findings in neuroscience- will only go mainstream if citizens get on board as Universities are still seemingly stuck in what the top dogs want you to know. We know so little. I am so happy there is a Rupert Sheldrake in the world. As a PT, the monkey mechanics I was taught is so limited by our own ignorance. Nothing new here that hasn't been said by individuals like Alexander Van Humboldt or the transcendental movement.

Evidence of intelligence is that we form from energy and light what we are.
You must be satisfied with Darwin, which had no proof of anything. Whereas physics has proof in hundreds of books that at the core of this existence are waves of energy and light. From these waves subatomic particles are formed which are the basis of even Darwin's explanation. Darwin could not have had an explanation except that quarks are spinning billions of times a second as 3 points of light forming protons and neutrons. These words come from the book THE QUANTUM WORLD written by the physicist Kenneth Ford.
"IF" is doing a lot of work here, while trying to take jabs on established science that doesn't really heavily on "IF"s. Stop whining that scientists aren't taking unfounded ideas seriously.

I have had many "mystical" experiences which I found out to be consciousness itself in its many forms. I call this mystical word the word quark instead because it gives me a better picture of the subatomic particles that spin and vibrate so fast that we are constantly being created and don't even know it.
Quarks and atoms are evidence that nothing is material. Physics proves everyday that everything everywhere vibrates and pulsates as energy. You can see this energy and light in the book HANDS OF LIGHT written by the physicist Barbara Brennan. She published this book in 1987. She wrote that we are eternal, electromagnetic, multidimensional and holographic energy and light

Quarks are like the wheels and cogs that spin machines into motion. At the core of chemistry are quarks. Quarks must come first. For everything everywhere to vibrate and spin and pulsate as consciousness, these quarks must be conscious. We are embedded with consciousness which is light which so called education says has been the earth for billions of years. This means we are eternal images. NOTHING is physical or solid or mechanistic anywhere. To say there is, is to spread false rumors that death exists, which it does not. How can light ever die? Therefore, we are eternal light images right now. You can see diagrams/pictures of what we look like as eternal energy and light holograms in the book HANDS OF LIGHT written by the physicist Barbara Brennan.
As quarks spin at the speed of light, they are also beaming from themselves light which travels the speed of light that intersects all other forms that are also beaming from their own quarks beams of light that intersect all other forms that are beaming light. These beams of light can be seen when a person speeds up their metabolism by being super healthy and positive. I have been there, but I only felt them. I felt beams of light enter my body hundreds of yards away, sent by a person that projected this energy on purpose. I felt energy and light beings fly through me, walk into me……..they are my parents, the parents that showed me the way to the consciousness of physics.
I read an article that said millions of soldiers are having NDEs or near death experiences. They were in so much pain that other dimensions opened up them. We are built this way. We are supposed to be learning to leave these bodies and then come back in preparation of the final leaving. There are classes.

I think Rupert Sheldrake is right about most of these things. And especially that we should switch over to having a more empathic view of nature and metaphysics and physics. Understanding and explaining are connected, and you can explain something by understanding it from the inside not just from the outside, in a materialist paradigm. But science will probably then go through another cycle of imagery, if the supernatural is revealed, which will next revolve around existing in higher-order dimensions. If anything spiritual exists, it is in conceptualised in higher-order dimensions, and vice versa: if there are more spatial dimensions, there are open possibilities for personal identity, spiritual identities, all kinds of informational transfer phenomenon like ESP etc. They tried the multi-dimensional space thing in string theory. It doesn't really work that way. But soon we will probably find that the morphic field and consciousness is real – but my hunch is that it will probably be a re-projection in just a six-dimensional spatial universe first. They haven't really tried that one out yet. But then: what if Rupert Sheldrake and other ESP-type people do work all this stuff out, and figure out how our minds really do work? Then will they tell the Authorities and try to control our minds? Again? If they learn enough about how our minds work, will they be able to completely control us at last? (Not if you decide to contradict them! – Dostoyevsky)
Yep, J. Michael Straczynski came up with a similar idea in Minbari religion/philosophy in "Babilon 5" space opera from 90's, where animal soul/consciousness is just an emergent phenomenon being incarnation of Universe consciousness.

We can use our conciousness to reason with. As a matter of fact it's our conciousness that corrects our Human brain. As when you say something wrong, and it immediately gives you the Why in the world did you say that.
I had a epiphany many years ago. It was frightening, but it answered every question
I ever had. I believe that was when my consciousness took over. Evidently our conciousness is connected to the Universe
because my understanding has grown by leaps and bounds.
The answers lie within NATURE!

Oh reports from the general population about universal consciousness? Very reliable. Most people believe in the devil too. There you have it.
1:00:00 – We're on a cusp between a paradigm shift from mechanistic materialism, which has dominated academic life in our society for decades to a more rich view of nature as alive; a more panpsychist or animist view of the world; a view of the world in which consciousness is more than just an activity in human brains and it's an activity, greater forms of consciousness, we can actually access through our own direct experience. The choice is up to each one of us.

We are not merely conscious of choice. Obviously if we're being attacked or we're tied up, or someone is hurting you, you're very conscious of that and you don't have a choice. Habits can be changed. Fasting is a good way to prove that you have free will. If fasting for a few days when you're addicted to food can be done, that is the closest you'll ever get to free will. We might as well agree that fasting is free will. If you can't see that then there's no hope for convincing anyone of free will. Sure you could say that the pressure in the US to be thin is making you fast, well, then you're just hopelessly making yourself hopeless.

the brain is not a radio, it is an interface. that is a much much better way to explain it.
this is simply not true that our consciousness is part of something greater. The fact of the matter is we are pattern recognition beings and our brain evolved to detect agency where there is none. It doesn't mean it's true and if he is correct, not only will he be able to demonstrate this fact but he'll likely win a Nobel prize. i look forward to seeing this.
As for ''the soul'' this is something which is certainly unproven and an ancient belief born out of supertition
