Introducing Stretch

Boston Dynamics

Meet Stretch, a prototype of our new robot designed to automate box moving tasks in warehouses and distribution centers. Stretch’s mobile base allows it to go to where repetitive box lifting is required – unloading trucks, building pallets of boxes and order building. Stretch makes warehouse operations more efficient and safer for workers.

Stretch’s technology builds upon our decades of advancements in robotics to create a flexible, easily integrated solution that can be deployed in any warehouse. Learn more at https://www.bostondynamics.com/stretch.

  1. This is literally my job. Using flexible conveyors to unload parcels from a truck container is what I do everyday. We really need a universal basic income or better yet seize the means of production otherwise the working class will starve in the streets

  2. We're closer to the age where humans leave the repetitive works to the robots and pursue a more meaningful profession.

But it won't happen if we fail to stop the corporate greed from destroying the environment and unable to sustain our lives in extreme climate

    Until then, fellow humans

  3. Introducing: more homeless folks without jobs. Not because innovation is bad but the system will not account for automation in any way when it comes to hard labor, retail, etc.
