Reading minds through body language | Lynne Franklin | TEDxNaperville

TEDx Talks

Can you read someone’s mind by looking at them? Almost. Lynne Franklin teaches you how to connect with 3 types of people by understanding how their bodies communicate. After a boy threatened to kill her with a machete, Lynne Franklin decided to learn everything she could about persuasion. She became a neuroscience nerd, studying how the brain works and how to build rapport with people. She has since worked with organizations to use persuasive communication to increase their performance, productivity, and profit, and published a book about her personal research called Getting Others to Do What You Want. In addition to her marketing and consulting work, Lynne is a member of the National Speakers Association and President-elect of its Illinois chapter. 1. I think I’m a mixture of all:)) I remember an event in description and feelings! I’m totally observant without staring at people cause my dad always told us not to stare, it makes people uncomfortable!

  2. I like the fact that she reminds me of something. Myself, when I start out calm and controlled, but engage in faster speech as I get excited by the topic. Body language is so interesting, I am noting hers as a speaker along her words on types. I am also confused about myself. Where is the dramaqueen and too-fast-decision-making ones?

  3. That was different. It sounds good. And I hate mind readers!
Because they never get what I'm thinking. But this video is about read what type of person you have in front of you. And that's cool!!!

  4. I was remember my memory like a movie and at the same time how I felt.
Am I both looker and toucher?
I look a lot like Lookers, and have body contact on the arm, or hug. Lol
Could it be that there might be people with 2 attitudes at the same time?

  5. So I categorize myself as a listener! as I do often mumble to myself, but not in front of people so they don't think I'm crazy! but I do care about my appearance and how I look! and that is a looker! despite this, my comfort comes first and when I closed my eyes and remembered an event I remembered how I felt about it and that's a toucher! so I think am all three combined in one! buy one get 2 for free! now that's a deal!

  6. believe it or not but i'm already a people expert….i know crazy eh?
as you can see my people skills are so good all i have for writing is what i taught myself real fast xD
