Finding Meaning Project
What if consciousness isn’t produced by the universe, but is actually what creates it?
In this video, I explore the radical theory of Biocentrism, the idea that reality only appears in consciousness. Space, time, matter, even the laws of physics may not exist “out there” independently… but arise from awareness itself.
We’ll look at where this idea comes from, how it connects to non-duality, and why thinkers from quantum physicists to mystics have claimed that the observer and the observed are inseparable.
Does consciousness shape reality?
Is the universe more like a dream than a machine?
And what does this mean for who you really are?
If you’re interested in the deeper nature of existence, this is for you.

According to existencecentrism (P. Klevius 1992), there cannot be anything outside our mind/s – other than speculations based on what's inside the mind. Therefore anything "defined" as being out of reach for the human mind is irrational semantics inside the mind. I, Peter Klevius, solved consciousness (the "RAM" in the thalamus) in my book 1992 by introducing existencecentrism (the limit of mind) and the stone example (irrationality made possible by language – animals and feral humans cannot be irrational), told Francis Crick and several magazines, and got it empirically confirmed through the 2006 birth of the unique craniopagus Hogan twins with connected thalami but separate cortices and personalities. However, unfounded paranormal views and "qualia" nonsense seem more popular. In summary it's all about the pruning of synaptic connections by what the thalamus has projected into the cortex, i.e. lived experience builds up our mind, of which we learn to share parts of with others (compare Wittgenstein's 'language game'). Thalamus is like a camera sensor that has projected/pruned your synaptic connections with the growing familiarity of incoming data (repetition is the mother of education). So whatever you are conscious about it has to be understood against the background of your previous experience. This means that whatever sensory pattern hits you, it is determined to point to that same association pattern in the cortex – much like the RAM is determined to address the proper parts of the HD/SSD. There are no pics etc. planted in your neurons – only a chaotic (for someone else looking into your brain) synaptic pattern that only you have become familiar with. Running amok AI is no different from e.g. running amok islamist "God" believers and "infidel" haters. And although they've been more tolerated out of fear of "islamophobia" accusations, let them and AI face the negative (individual, not "community") Human Rights in the 1948 UDHR.

The illusion of ego is the false belief that the self is a permanent, separate, and solid entity, rather than a constantly changing collection of thoughts, memories, and social roles. "self" is an illusion. The unchanging, independent "I" or ego a solid controller living inside the head is a construct created by the brain, rather than a permanent entity. It creates a "me" vs. "world" dichotomy, driving fear, defensiveness, and suffering. It merges the "I" with roles, possessions, and mental constructs rather than the true, underlying consciousness. Investigating the feeling of "I" reveals it is not a fixed, independent entity, leading to a direct experience of a deeper, more peaceful existence. Releasing the attachment to thoughts, stories, and external labels allows one to experience a reality not tied to the ego's limitations.
I don’t understand the concept of the universe appearing in me, and I get that me doesn’t mean my name or personality. Then what me are we talking about here? What you are we talking about? What self? If the mind can’t get this then what else is there? I’m supposed to realize something that I can’t realize because I’m just an ego and I don’t exist. I’m an NPC so even me watching videos and trying to figure this out is moot because it’s just a brain firing neurons over human conditioning, trying to figure out something it’s not ever going to get.
Why do humans love this aloof, impersonal “God”? The way I see it, we’re all the subjects of the cruelest trickery and apathy from a non-being that doesn’t care about or hear the cries of the suffering it generates. Empty and void and full of nothing. That brings up hatred and rage for me, certainly not love. It means everything I went through and any hope for some future redemption or answers is nothing more than a fantasy from an imagined trauma story. It feels like the worst violation and abandonment with only the wind to pray or rage to.
If god had a face I’d punch it. The universe doesn’t exist in me, I’m just an animal with an ego.
Love it, Keep it up.
In the Bible…..the "serpent" is the "carnal mind" in man that believes this physical creation is real .
The "devil" is another aspect of the same "carnal mind" that acts on this false perception and causes wrong doing (sin) .
And "Satan" (Adversary) is the "law" of cause and effect (cause and consequences) that governs this behavior .
" That old serpent, called the devil and Satan (man's own carnal mind) that deceives the whole world " —- Revelation 12:9
Great vid. How does mathematics fit into this?
Mathematics and physics has predicted things that we have never experienced consciously (or indirectly through conscious measurements). Eg. no one had experienced a gravitational wave, but maths predicted their existence long before we ever measured (ie experienced) them.
I subscribe to the notion of there being 3 interlinked "domains" that all require each other to exist. The metaphysical, the physical and mathematics.
The metaphysical is essentially your conscious interpretation and experience of the physical world that can also use maths to predict and discover things that it hasn’t experienced physically. Then there’s the physical world where we use maths to agree on a common interpretation of our individual metaphysical worlds.
That's my way of reconciling the above, but keen to hear if there are other interpretations.
Body and mind are animated and illuminated by consciousness. When you die, it’s like walking into another room, to your consciousness . I’ve done it.
Body and mind die, but your consciousness has been going on for billions of years. No matter your religion.
⚔ Sword Review — Achalayoga Siddhānta
This video replaces matter-centrism with consciousness-centrism — but the knot survives.
Biocentrism claims the universe appears inside consciousness.
Achalayoga asks the harder question:
Who says consciousness is real?
Quantum mechanics never proves a knower.
It only shows that properties are not fundamental.
Observation does not require awareness — only interaction.
Advaita says the world is Māyā perceived by consciousness.
Buddhism says things arise dependently.
Biocentrism says reality depends on life.
All three still preserve a subtle experiencer.
Achalayoga Siddhānta ends even that.
Time, space, matter, and consciousness are prakṛtic patterns, not ultimate truths.
The universe does not appear in you.
The “you” itself is part of the appearance.
The final illusion is not matter.
The final illusion is consciousness itself.
What remains is not awareness, witness, or presence —
but Achala Paripūrṇa Brahmam:
unrelated, unmoving, unexperienced.
⚔ Not inside. Not outside. Not one. Not many.
👁️👁️ The flow of time through us, creates both consciousness and reality. 👁️👁️ The flow of time creates the appearance of evolution 👁️👁️ Present, Past and Future are all present. 👁️👁️. There is only One Day 🙏🙏🙏
Well put! Really nice job blending these concepts. If you’ve read Spira and Hoffman, I’m sure you’re aware of Bernardo Kastrup as well.
Consciousness doesn´t create anything. Consciousness is the possibility to experience truth and reality. Reality and truth are already available. Not the subjective version but the objective version.

If a tree falls in the woods it causes vibrations in the air and makes a "sound" as we call it. Whether anyone is there or not the impact on the atmosphere is physics and will happen regardless of us. No one on the planet? Tree still makes vibration in the atmosphere the provides it CO2.. If it falls on a house it will make more sound and damage the house. Doesn't matter if anyone is there. If there are 1000 people there, they will all hear it.
I understand all are connected and it's one's perception and belief that effects how you see things (but the tree doesn't care). But the idea that our consciousness shapes reality makes absolutely no sense to me. Yes it can effect our life, our decisions how people treat us even our opportunities but is limited. And being full of light can effect and make the world better but I'm pretty sure the tree will still fall and make a noise. Despite what quantum physics says. I've been reading some of this stuff and I think a lot of it is wishful thinking. "You just have to think right and, poof, your life is great."
Beautifully explained! 🕉👍🙏
Hmmmm! 🤔 "In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God", John 1:1 Consciousness?
Its all mind/spirit
i bet you are mistaken and thought doesn't equal reality.
From my perspective, what you are describing is an Event Based Modelisation…🧐…
Fascinating! Thank you 🌟
This is the interpretation of "existence" that makes most sense to me now. There is no physical, material universe – or there is one, but it's a dream.
I found myself inquiring "where is the universe" – meaning, where is our universe located inside of something beyond it? What is beyond the universe? Where is all this happening? Consciousness is the only answer for me.
Also, why do I appear in this body and not one of the other humans past, present, or future? It is too inexplicable.
You’re right about Buddhism and emptiness, but it’s actually a bit more profound. Each of our sense consciousnesses—hearing, sight, sound, taste, touch, and even the mind itself—is interconnected and dependent on one another for existence. This raises the question: if we eliminate the root of ignorance, can we truly awaken and attain some degree of enlightenment? It’s ironic that we consider ourselves incredibly advanced, yet the only framework we have to truly comprehend this is derived from ancient wisdom traditions like Buddhism, Hinduism, and the others mentioned in this video.
